About Laurie Kaman
Our Mission: Documentary storytelling expands our understanding of shared human experience, fostering an informed, compassionate, and connected world. The International Documentary Association (IDA) is dedicated to building and serving the needs of a thriving documentary culture. Through its programs, the IDA provides resources, creates community, and defends rights and freedoms for documentary artists, activists, and journalists. The IDA has partnered with the Courage Campaign to give participants in the Women's March a way to get involved and make a difference after the march! Now more than ever, we need to support the journalists and documentary storytellers who help us find and decipher the truth from fiction. We invite marchers to join the IDA by supporting the COURAGE CAMPAIGN, where every dollar that they donate will help defend these voices from unjust pursuit and litigation. These individuals have never been more valuable or necessary. We're 65% of the way there, having raised $39,000 of our $60,000 goal. We would love help crossing the finish line and are asking for donations of any amount using the link below. Every bit counts! https://give.documentary.org/campaign/documentary-courage-campaign/c111195
